Toshiba Hokuto Electronics Corporation is located in Asahikawa, which is known as "The environmentally friendly city with northern life and lush greenery and water", and blessed with natural environment such as Taisetsu Mountains which located almost in the center of Hokkaido and plenty of rivers which unite with Ishikari River. We produce electronic components (thermal print heads, flexible printed circuit boards, CRTs, magnetrons and so forth) coexistent with local residents, and promote increasingly environment friendly management initiatives through its business activities, products and services. Concurrently, we aim to contribute to society by providing environmentally friendly products and services. Regarding our environmental maintenance and improvement activities as one of the top priorities in management, we are committed to taking actions based on the understanding that "it is living people's basic responsibility to pass the irreplaceable earth on to future generations in a sound condition" in conformity with the Toshiba Group Environmental Vision.

1.	Regarding the environmental aspects of our business activities, products and services, we will continuously promote and upgrade environmental conservation by setting environmental purposes and goals based on results of the environmental impact assessment. In addition, we will strive to continuously improve our environmental conservation efforts, with the participation of all employees, to the most technologically and economically feasible extent.
2.	We will continuously improve our environmental management by conducting audits and reviewing our activities.
3.	We will abide by the environment-related laws, industry and other guidelines to which our company has agreed, voluntary standards and so forth.
4.	We will promote environmental conservation that takes the reduction of environmental burdens into account when we provide environmentally friendly products as well as in the environmental aspects of our business activities and services. 1) Reduction of chemical substances in our products that affect the environment 2) Promotion of product manufacturing based on the awareness that the earth's resources are finite 3) Promoting the reduction of CO2 emissions as a measure against global warning 4) Waste reduction 5) Promotion of adequate management of and reduction in the use and emission of chemical substances to prevent environmental pollution. 6) Promoting environmentally friendly conservation which reflects to the local characteristics.
5.	We will improve each individual employee's understanding and awareness of environmental conservation by providing them with environmental education geared toward maintaining and enhancing environmental conservation.
6.	As a global corporation, we will promote environmental conservation as a member of the Toshiba Group, by providing guidance and support to associated companies, for example.
7.	We will actively disclose information and increase communication to promote mutual understandings.
