We have developed the new magnetron 2M240-C for a microwave oven which
realized compactness and high performance and start mass production in
April.
According to requirement for compact microwave oven and material saving,
demand for compact magnetron especially lower height is increasing.
In order to decrease height of a magnetron, height of an anode must be decreased.
However performance such as efficiency and mode stability of a magnetron
becomes worse corresponding to decrease in height of an anode.
We could achieve improvement in performance with the new magnetic circuit
and optimized design on anode and cathode dimensions, and realize the same
performance in efficiency and mode stability as current magnetron 2M253-Z.
